On June 1, 2020, Donna Louise Evans (nee Ross) was taken, unexpectedly and much too soon, by cancer.  All who knew her will remember and give thanks for the depth of Donna’s enthusiasm for family, friends, colleagues and all those she cared for.  Donna was predeceased by her mother, Hester Ross.  Donna will forever be missed and remembered by her loving husband of almost 48 years, Dennis; daughters Tracy Evans (David Junk) and Michelle (Francis) Therrien; grandchildren Jocelyn and Damon Junk and Maxime Therrien; her father Creighton Ross; brothers Linden (Laurine) Ross and Doug (Kelly) Ross; as well as numerous cherished nieces and nephews. Donna’s gifts as a leader are evident in the impact she had on the nursing profession. Donna’s approach was patients first, colleagues next, bureaucracy and administration last.  She carried herself with humility; never leading with her title no matter how significant her role.  The title she embraced most fully was the term of endearment given to her by the tradespeople who called her “Mother Goose”. Donna loved the adventure of travelling. A quiet morning coffee listening to the sound of the loons at the Clam Lake cabin was her happy place.  There were no boundaries to her commitment and dedication to her family.  Hours upon hours of time spent built a bond that will never be broken and her love will sustain and strengthen us now and always. Special thanks to family, friends and neighbours for all their kindness, caring and support.  As well, sincere thanks are extended to Dr. Alibhai and the entire Palliative Home Care team.  In lieu of flowers donations in memoriam may be directed to Palliative Home Care, c/o Palliative Care Services, 4101 Dewdney Avenue, Regina, SK, S4T 1A5.
