Our deepest condolences to Lesley,Jim and families. Joanne was a loving mother, and grandmother who was always a source of love and laughter at any family gathering. Joanne had a twinkle in her eye, a wonderful laugh and you always wanted to be with Herb and Joanne at the table of any holiday celebration. She will be deeply missed but will always have a special place in our hearts.

Joanne and Herb shared a deep and lasting love. They delighted in you, their darlings, Lesley and Jim, even when boundaries were being tested! Through time we enjoyed photos and stories of you and the grandkids, and shared their utter joy of family. May your memories provide warmth and comfort. We shall always remember your parents with affection. Much love to you and yours, Sharon and Lorne Dunsmore

My deepest sympathy goes out to Joanne's family, and to her friends.
We met many years ago in the old Sask Power days, where Joanne and Herbie (as he was called) were the sweetest couple. Their grandchildren are cousins of my grandchildren; meeting them at family events, it is easy to see that each one is a tribute to their parents and to Joanne and Herb.
While Joanne will be missed, her memories remind us of her special love and care of family.
Blessings, Anne

We wish to extend our condolences, Lesley and Jim, on the loss of your Mom. She was a fine lady, and we had many enjoyable gatherings with her and your Dad, Herb. We will remember you in our prayers and thoughts as you make your way through this difficult time. May God bless you and your families.

Dear family, I write on behalf of the Barbour family. Joanne was a trusted and competent associate with my husband, Rev Lind, in his work in ministry at Knox-Metropolitan United Church. She told me she could read his writing! She was devoted to Herb and to you, and was very proud of all of you. I am so sorry for your loss. May Joanne rest in peace. Blessings, Mary Beth

Joanne, Joanne I have had the joy and pleasure of knowing you since 1943 when we both started at Thomson school. We learned together, we played together, we danced together and we traded comics together. High school
saw us go separate ways and yet we managed to stay in touch. You were always so vibrant, so alert and so gracious. I struggle with the notion that you were attacked by Alzheimer’s disease. I know you gave it a good fight. Peace to you and your family.
